Minotaurs

Minotaurs consists of Tom Devlin, Sarah Farrell-Forster, Andrew Forster, Peter Hall, Daniel Rose-Troup and Mick Ross (also guitarist in Frankie and the Heartstrings.) Together they make music that The Guardian describes as “sumptuous, melodic, understated folk-pop”.

Since 2006 the band have released a spattering of Ep’s and live outings have been equally as scarce. Belle and Sebastian, Fairport Convention and even Prefrab Sprout have been used as reference points and whilst undeniably British in sound, Minotaurs are that rare thing; a band that sound more like themselves than anyone else.

Cottage Industries will finally be releasing their debut album ‘Eat yr Hate’ on 5th September 2011.

Recorded in deepest Northumberland last year with Woodpigeon producer, Arran Fisher the album will be catalogue number CICD02. An advanced copy of the album has already been rated by Whitetapes as one of their albums of the year.

A rare live outing for the band is scheduled in September to launch the album.
